The story
Aldar Properties is Abu Dhabi’s largest listed developer and one of the UAE’s most diversified real-estate groups. It has shaped major districts including Yas Island, Saadiyat Island, Al Raha Beach, and areas of Reem Island. Its business spans development, investment properties, retail, education, hospitality, property management, and community operations.
In Dubai, Aldar entered through a strategic partnership with Dubai Holding. Haven introduced a wellness-led villa and townhouse community, followed by Athlon, a master plan focused on active living, movement, parks, and sport. The partnership has since expanded through additional land and a larger future development pipeline.
Key achievements
Aldar’s achievements include building major destination portfolios across Abu Dhabi and operating under a listed-company governance and reporting structure. Yas Island and Saadiyat Island contain significant residential, cultural, hospitality, education, retail, and leisure assets. Its Dubai platform is newer and should be evaluated using project-specific registration, construction, and partnership information.
